Career Opportunities and Services Provided to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

An informative and inspiring panel by SSU Psychology Professor and Executive Director of Redwood Coast Regional Center, Rick Blumberg, and the Executive Director of North Bay Regional Center, Gabriel Rogin. They will discuss California's progressive service system for citizens with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including an overview of the activism that lead to this first in the nation entitlement to services. Additional discussion will include the exciting careers students may consider as they think about their professional development. The panel will also include the Regional Center’s Cultural Specialists who will speak about the work they do in underserved communities, and share how they came to their careers.
