Dear Staff and Management Employees:
Want to get more involved in the Sonoma State campus community this next academic year? Interested in being a part of shared governance? Want to deepen your understanding of academic policy and process? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, we encourage you to consider running for a seat on the Staff Council or joining a University Committee. No experience is required, simply an interest in getting engaged!
Following is a summary of the upcoming opportunities to serve on a campus working group, committee, and/or the staff council leadership team as well as a link to learn more about the open positions and participating in shared governance.
Working Groups (Temporary for Fall 2023)
- AMP Learning Spaces & Technology: 1 seat
- AMP Academic Support Services: 1 seat
Staff Council (Fall 2023- Spring 2025)
- Staff Council Chair: 1 seat
- Staff Council Treasurer: 1 seat
- Staff Council Secretary: 1 seat
University Committees (Fall 2023- Spring 2025-26)
- Academic Senate: 1 seat (2023-26)
- PAC - Diversity, Equity, Campus Climate & Inclusion: 1 seat
- PAC- Campus Police and Safety: 1 seat
- President’s Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC): 1 seat
- Sonoma State Enterprises Inc. Board and Audit Committee: 2 seats
