Thanksgiving is a special day. Whether you gather for a big meal, watch football or parades on television, or celebrate in some other traditional or non-traditional way with your family and friends, it’s a time to reflect on all for which we are grateful.
I am grateful for all of the students, faculty, and staff who make Sonoma State University such a special place to study, work, and live. It is a true community of caring, committed souls who carry out the university’s mission every day.
Some recent examples of how that mission is carried can be found in this edition of Noma News, which includes a lively cross-section of SSU events, community engagements, accomplishments, and recognitions. I am confident you will be as appreciative and proud of these achievements and milestones as I am.
I also want to wish a safe journey to those of you traveling in the coming days, and I hope all of us can use this time to rest and recharge before returning for the end of the semester and the holidays and new year that are just around the corner.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Emily F. Cutrer, Ph.D.
