Investiture Information for Faculty and Staff
All members of the University community are invited to the Investiture ceremony, which will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, April 20 and will take place at the Green Music Center in Weill Hall.
In order to allow everyone to attend the event, all University employees are authorized to close offices between the hours of 1:30-4:30 p.m. to attend the Investiture. If you have a question about whether your office should remain open for essential University activities during this time, please consult with your appropriate administrator or the vice president in your division.
President Sakaki has invited all University faculty to participate in the Investiture processional and recessional. If you are a member of the faculty, and wish to participate, please bring your regalia with you to Weill Hall 30 minutes before the ceremony and/or check out regalia that will be available at the Green Music Center. There will be a special robing room to either check out regalia or put on your regalia. This room will be located in the Gallery Hallway, near the Prelude Restaurant.
All faculty and students are invited to attend the Investiture Mini-Conference from 9 a.m. to noon on April 20. Offices will remain open during the Mini-Conference, and those employees interested in participating in the Mini-Conference should check with their supervisor to make sure that offices remain open on the morning of April 20. The Mini-Conference will be held at many campus locations. Look for more information about this exciting event in the coming weeks.
