Impact of Learning Styles in the Workplace

Our learning style impacts how we process information in most areas of our work. Knowing one’s particular learning style may prevent mistakes, increase productivity, and reinforce self-confidence. Content includes:

  • The three learning styles
  • Characteristics and challenges of each style
  • Tips for maximizing learning

Generational Diversity
Thursday, April 17th (1:30pm)
For the first time in history there are four different generations in the workplace. Learn how to value the new ideas and embrace the change that each new generation brings. Content includes:

  • Understanding generational diversity
  • Breaking down generational stereotypes
  • Strengthening work relationships

CSU’s Got Talent
The CSU systemwide professional development series continues with engaging, interactive webcasts featuring experts in leadership, communication, and workplace effectiveness. More information, including registration, can be found on the CSYou’s Got Talent website.

CSU Learn Highlights
Written Communication bundle
Effective written communication is essential in the modern workplace. Learn practical tips to improve your writing skills. Writing can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Brush up on the basics and learn to improve your communication skills easily. Courses included: Audience and Purpose in Business Writing, Clarity and Conciseness in Business Writing, and Editing and Proofreading Business Documents.

Student Employee Power Skills
Student employees have access to CSU Learn as well! This bundle includes a selection of courses, articles and a webcast for personal development. Learn more in the areas of interpersonal communication, developing a growth and adaptive mind-set, self-discovery, and time management.
