Earth Week is almost here! Don’t forget to register for the third annual Seawolves Dig In! on April 22, 2025 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.! This is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to participate in hands-on gardening projects across campus in collaboration with other members of the SSU community. Participants will have the opportunity to plant trees and low-lying and native plants, learn non-invasive weed management techniques, and work on restoration and vegetation management at the Butterfly Garden!

If you are interested in participating, please register by Sunday, April 20 to receive additional logistical details. Sustainable SSU tote bags will be provided to the first 100 people, and each person will be assigned to a team based on their preferred tasks. No experience or equipment is needed! Gloves, tools, and directions, along with morning refreshments and post-event pizza will be provided.

For further questions, please contact Kelsey Moss at [email protected].

This event is presented in partnership with Facilities Management, Academic Affairs, and the President’s Sustainability Advisory Council (PSAC).

In the case of inclement weather, we will look to reschedule.
