Dear International Seawolves, Staff, and Faculty,

Many of you may be considering international travel during the upcoming summer break. The CSU System has just released the attached guidance for all CSU students, staff, and faculty who are considering international travel.

Most notably, the guidance states, “Due to uncertainty and evolving federal policies, the CSU strongly encourages all faculty, staff, and students to carefully assess the necessity of international travel at this time. The decision to travel outside the United States is personal, but the CSU advises all members of its community to proceed with extreme caution. Immigration policies, practices, travel bans, and health and safety risks are shifting daily and often cannot be fully assessed or projected in advance.” The guidance further includes important travel advice if you do decide to travel internationally during this time.

You are a treasured member of our campus community, and we want to support you. Students with F-1 or J-1 visas are encouraged to contact the Global Engagement Office with any questions. Students may make an individual appointment or visit during “drop-in” hours. Faculty and staff are welcome to contact me bosick@sonoma.edu with questions or concerns, and I will help direct you to the most appropriate resources.
