Earth Week is here! Please register for the second annual Seawolves Dig In, taking place on April 25, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to noon! There are only a few slots left. This is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to participate in hands-on gardening projects across campus in collaboration with other members of the SSU community. Participants will have the opportunity to plant trees, low-lying and native plants, learn gardening and non-invasive weed management techniques at the ETC garden, work on restoration and vegetation management at Copeland Creek, and more!
If you are interested in participating, please register by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 to receive additional logistical details. Sustainable SSU baseball caps will be provided to the first 150 folks to sign up, and each person will be assigned to a team based on their preferred tasks. No experience or equipment is needed! Gloves, tools, and directions, along with morning refreshments and post-event pizza, will be provided.
For further questions, please contact Kelsey Moss at kelsey.moss@sonoma.edu.
This event is presented in partnership with Facilities Management, Academic Affairs, and the President’s Sustainability Advisory Council (PSAC).
In the case of inclement weather, we will look to reschedule.
