Greetings Campus Partners:

For students who will be living on campus, the Move-In Experience will commence at 8 a.m. Thursday, August 15 , 2024 at the Green Music Center (GMC). Week of Welcome (WOW)

  • During the days prior to classes beginning, we will be hosting the third and final part of our NOMA Nation New Student Orientation and Week of Welcome!
  • The Week of Welcome will begin on Friday, August 16 at 9:30 a.m. and continue through the evening of Friday, August 23.
  • The in-person mandatory days will be Friday, August 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Monday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check out the schedule below for more information and details.
  • During NNO WOW, we will be hosting events and entertainment each night. These events are designed to help our students in building their community, increasing their school spirit, and learning more about/participating in our Seawolf Traditions! Information about these events can be found in the schedule (below) and at seawolfliving.com.
  • With WOW, we aim to help successfully see students through their first semester and ensure we set the tone for what will ultimately be a great year and start to their college experience!
  • The Week of Welcome schedule can be found HERE.
  • WOW includes introductions to campus, support services, student leaders, clubs, evening events, and programming so that students are aware of all that Sonoma has to offer them!

  • Seawolf Family Photo 2024!
Thursday, August 15 at 4:30 p.m., University Lakes

You all are invited to join our new Seawolves and their families in their first Seawolf Family Photo! This tradition (now in its third year) is one of my faves as we all come together to welcome our new Seawolves and wish them well in their journey here. So find your best Waldo costume, or bright-colored Sonoma gear, so we can find you in the photo later!
  • Potentia: A New Student Welcome
    Thursday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m.
While all the new residential students are in the Student Center Ballroom for their building meetings, staging for all continuing student and non-student participants/guests will be on Seawolf Plaza at 6:30 p.m., with the event culminating at 7 p.m. in Seawolf Plaza and leading to Person Lawn. Wear your SSU spirit wear! We will have some spirit items and gear available as well. All non-residential students who attend will be welcomed and join the new students as they come down into the plaza.

Orientation and Family Program Website
Please review the Orientation and Parent & Family Program website, which provides information about Orientation for students entering SSU in Fall 2024, while sharing additional information about Family Programs and other events.

Thank you all so much for supporting us while we navigate this continued evolution to our NOMA Nation Orientation program. Feel free to reach out to mo.phillips@sonoma.edu if you have further questions.

It’s a great day to be a Seawolf!
