Hello Seawolves!!!
We are proud to announce the new officers for your student body organization, the Associated Students of Sonoma State University Inc., for 2024-25. They were all elected in the campus-wide election held Monday and Tuesday.
Some 891 students voted in the election -- a 16% turnout that will be one of the highest for any CSU this year. Besides electing the officers listed below, over $4,000 was allocated to chartered student organizations through the election.
We want to take a moment to say thank you to the 2023-24 Senate and the entire Associated Students team for all they have done to serve students so far this year.
Here are your officers for 2024-25:
President-elect: Vanessa Sanchez
Executive Vice President-elect: Liana Yanez
Vice President of Finance-elect: Johnathan Duran Del Villar
Senator for Diversity-elect: Asad Franklin
There are five more positions in the Associated Students Senate that no student chose to run for, so there will be an opportunity to apply to be appointed to those positions after spring break. Check out Handshake after the break to get more information and to apply.
