As announced in April, to continue the upgrade work to our electrical system, we will be shutting down power to campus on the following days:
Monday, May 22
Tuesday, May 23
Wednesday, May 24
This power outage is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. — 8 hours on each of the days listed above.
While the power is out, employees and students should not enter any campus academic buildings.
We do not anticipate a power outage of this duration to affect the refrigerated and frozen contents in housing units, and recommend that residents keep refrigerators and freezers closed at all times until power is restored to ensure the safety of cold and frozen food.
As an extra layer of precaution, we recommend powering down all electric and electronic devices, and switching off or unplugging power strips.
We have chosen a time when there will be the least possible impact to the campus community.
