The Academic Master Planning process has concluded for the Fall semester 2023. I am releasing the reports of the Current and New Programs (CNP) and Learning Spaces and Technologies (LST) Working Groups. You will find both on the AMP Website. I appreciate the complex and nuanced recommendations of both groups and offer particular thanks to CNP Chairs, Dr. Richard Whitkus and Dr. Stacey Bosick, and LST Chairs, Dr. Tom Targett and Dr. Justin Lipp.
In evaluating programs, CNP used the metrics developed by the Working Group, but they were not able to make use of economic data from Gray Associates because it was not yet available for analysis. CNP will continue in Spring 2024, focusing on New Programs. They will, however, have an opportunity to review the Gray economics data and will plan to write an update to their report that incorporates the new data.
This has been an important semester for Sonoma State. We are grappling with very complex changes to our academic enterprise. I want to thank the campus for its commitment to working together and sharing information and viewpoints. Thank you and best wishes for a restful winter break.
