Dear Seawolves,

You are invited to participate in the Sonoma State University Belonging and Inclusion: Campus Climate Survey, a follow-up to our 2021 Campuswide Climate Survey. The survey should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete. Your responses are strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone in any way that might identify you. Data collected will be anonymized, and we will not report on very small groups of participants. No personal identifying information will be collected and no identifying information from responses will be shared. To take the survey in Spanish, select "Spanish" from the drop-down bar at the top of the survey page.

You will have the opportunity to be selected at random for a chance to win $75 in Wolfbucks once the survey is completed. The survey will close at 8:00 p.m. on April 21, 2023. Survey results will be shared with the campus community in Fall 2023.

In the course of the survey, you will be asked about your perceptions and experiences of campus climate, especially in regard to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as well as how you believe SSU handles a range of issues, including campus safety; discrimination, bias, and harassment; sexual misconduct; and economic and professional equity. Your participation in the survey will be of great assistance in how we proceed with our DEI work. The information collected will allow us to discern and celebrate our areas of achievement, and make action plans to address and mitigate issues and areas of concern. Please visit the About Survey webpage for additional information about the survey. Also, note the Definition of Terms for your reference as you take the survey.

The survey is administered using Qualtrics and was designed by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in consultation with students, faculty, and staff. The Center for Teaching and Educational Technology (CTET) was a key campus partner, assisting us in the design and overall look and feel of the survey. We are grateful for the expertise and guidance of Drs. Justin Lipp and John Lynch.

Thank you for your participation in this important initiative. Our aim is to ensure that each member of our university community feels welcome, safe, and enthusiastically engaged in their learning and work, and your contributions to that goal are important and appreciated.
