FR: Karen Moranski and Joyce Lopes, Chair and Vice-Chair of the President’s Budget Advisory Committee
Despite all the uncertainties and changes we have faced this spring, we are committed to maintaining our transparent processes of strategic planning and budgeting. We have been working hard on budget planning for the 2021-2022 year, and while the budget is not yet finalized, we wanted to provide an update based on the information we have so far. Below you will find a link to the Spring 2021 Virtual Budget and Planning Forum with remarks from each of us as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the President’s Budget Advisory Committee (PBAC) and a detailed presentation from Laura Lupei, Senior Director for Budget and Planning, outlining the Spring Budget Update.
Please view the Spring 2021 Virtual Budget and Planning Forum here.
This semester, we are also happy to be hosting a virtual Budget and Planning Forum Roundtable. This was previously a component of the in-person Budget and Planning Forum, allowing participants to have discussions and provide feedback related to campus budget and planning topics. The Roundtable will take place on Thursday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Please access the Zoom link to the Roundtable here.
Questions can be submitted prior to the Roundtable here. Please submit your questions by Wednesday, May 12. Breakout sessions will be moderated by members of the PBAC and will allow participants to discuss the contents of the Budget and Planning Forum and topics related to budget and planning on campus. To review the discussion topics for the breakout sessions, please click here. The main Q&A portion of the Roundtable will be recorded and posted to the Budget Office website for those of you who are unable to attend.
Thank you for your interest and participation. We will continue to provide updates as the 2021-2022 budget continues to evolve. You can visit the budget website at https://budget.sonoma.edu/ for additional information and updates. Please reach out to budget@sonoma.edu with any questions or feedback.
On behalf of President Sakaki, our Cabinet colleagues, and the PBAC, thank you again for all you are doing to support our students and our campus community.
