TO: All employees
FR: Dana Twedell, AVP of Facilities Management and David Chun, Chief Information Officer

In an effort to support employees returning to campus, Facilities Management will be available to assist with moving furniture and computer equipment back into offices. The university requires that employees utilize campus-provided labor support for items equal to or greater than 20 pounds.

Facilities Management will provide assistance moving items such as:

  • Desk Chairs
  • Computer/CPU/Printer/Keyboard/Mouse
  • Boxed Content
  • Sit/Stand Work Surfaces

Personal furniture items
The university is no longer able to accept any personal furniture items in campus offices. Items that are not permitted include, but not limited to: area rugs, bookcases, couches, recliners, ottomans, refrigerators, and space heaters. This is in response to ongoing State Fire Marshal building inspections and safety related ordinances pertaining to interior space use. If a particular furniture item is needed, above what the University is currently providing, please contact your appropriate administrator to discuss further.

Moving schedule and drop-off location

During your scheduled time, you will drop off SSU furniture and equipment in parking lot D where Facilities staff will provide relocation tags so that you can mark items with your name and the campus office where the items are to be delivered. Personal furniture items will not be accepted.
