Sonoma State University employees have access to the full suite of software that is part of Microsoft Office and the Information Technology (IT) department fully supports this software on university computers and device(s).
While IT does not formally support Microsoft Office 365 accounts, we are aware that in the past some users were able to create Microsoft Office 365 accounts with their Sonoma email. Remote work has posed challenges with verifying licensing, and IT will continue to work with users who have Microsoft Office 365 accounts to accommodate any changes to their accounts.
The university is evaluating options for providing access to Microsoft Office 365 applications to SSU students and employees and will update the campus community on these efforts next year.
