FR: J. Dana Twedell, Associate Vice President for Facilities Management
Dear Sonoma State Community,
Our Facilities Management team has received multiple reports of roof leaks in campus buildings due to the heavy rain that began early Wednesday morning. The team is actively addressing the situation and working diligently to address the leaks and minimize any disruptions. In the meantime, we ask for your cooperation and understanding as we navigate this issue.
What You Need to Know:
- Affected Areas: If you encounter any leaks, please report them immediately to Facilities Management at SSU Fixit or by email to fmwo@sonoma.edu. Provide as much information about the location and extent of the leak as you are able to.
- Safety Precautions: Avoid areas with active leaks to prevent any potential hazards. We will place warning signs and barriers where necessary.
- Classroom and Office Impacts: If a leak impacts a classroom or office space, please notify Facilities Management and work with your Appropriate Administrator to see if alternative arrangements could be made promptly.
- Personal Belongings: Ensure that your personal belongings are moved away from areas prone to leaks to avoid damage.
- Storm-Related Issues: Additionally, please report any fallen trees or broken branches that are blocking entryways, exits, or walkways to Facilities Management. Your prompt reporting will help us address these issues quickly and keep the campus safe for everyone.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve this issue. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. For further updates, please keep an eye on your email and the university's official communication channels.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
