All those impacted by recent events in Israel and Gaza are invited to attend one of two Brave Space sessions scheduled next week. The Zoom sessions are sponsored by the SSU Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and supported by Counseling and Psychological Services clinicians, who will be present.
Brave Spaces are where individuals feel encouraged to share their feelings about what has occurred and to share space with others who are impacted by this tragedy. This Brave Space is NOT a space for debates, confrontations, or challenges. That is for the classroom or other forums where knowledge and understanding are cultivated. Here, in Brave Spaces, we come with compassion and empathy for everyone who participates. We are creating space to sit with and share our feelings and experiences.
The sessions are at 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, and at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 17 and are available through these links:

To enhance security against potential Zoom threats and disruptions, all participants must register to receive the Zoom link. The link will be sent via the DEI Office email account; only individuals with SSU login credentials will have access to the sessions.
