On-campus testing center hours next week
Sonoma State’s on-campus COVID-19 testing center will be open this week on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Denali Gym at the Recreation Center. SSU’s COVID-19 testing center is not currently taking appointments. The testing center will serve students, employees, and household members on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required, but pre-scheduled appointments will not be accommodated. Please register your account through the link on SSU’s COVID-19 website and select “No Appointment” from the drop-down list of testing sites .
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation when visiting the center. We know this is a challenging time and testing center wait times may be longer than normal. To help shorten wait times and expand testing capacity, we are adding an additional testing date in the weeks ahead and extending testing center hours. Please wear a face mask when in line and keep a considerate physical distance from others to keep our campus community safe.
Next week the on-campus COVID-19 testing center will be open:
- Tuesday, January 18, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, January 19, from 4 to 7 p.m.
- Friday, January 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Beginning January 24 and continuing through the spring semester, the testing center will be open:
- Mondays from 7 to 10 a.m.
- Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
- Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
As a reminder, the on-campus COVID-19 testing center is open to all Sonoma State University faculty, staff, students, and your family or household members. Information and the link to pre-register can be found on the COVID-19 website. For questions regarding the clinic, email covid.monitoring@sonoma.edu.
N95’s available for employees
In alignment with the revised recommendations on face masks, and due to the increased transmissibility of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and California Department of Public Health are recommending that everyone wear a medical procedure mask or N95 mask, which provides the most protection. Cloth masks are still allowed on campus but we do recommend consideration of high quality cloth masks with additional filtration or medical grade masks.
We are pleased to be able to provide N95 masks to employees through the Voluntary Respirator Use program administered by the Environmental Health and Safety office. Employees must complete this online form in order to be eligible to receive an N95 supplied by SSU. Once employees have completed the form and agreed to the terms of the program, they are able to pick-up an N95 at the Seawolf Service Center during business hours.
