Study German! Enrich Your Academic and Career Opportunities! Studying German not only gives you an advantage in our increasingly global world, it is also exciting and fun! It is a very smart idea to get a solid foundation in German while pursuing your major. If you are considering a major in business, economics, history, political science, global studies, natural sciences, music, art history, philosophy, or in another discipline, you will find it very useful to take at least one year of German, too. For more reasons to study German, see the "Why Study German" tab.

The SSU German Program offers a variety of courses that provide students with linguistic skills and cultural knowledge of the German-speaking world. Students are encouraged to participate in the CSU International Programs and take courses in Germany, which may be counted toward the minor. Students wishing to study abroad are strongly encouraged to consult with their German advisor.
