The opening ceremony will be facilitated by Amal K. Munayer, EOP advisor, featuring  Dr. Greg Sarris,  renowned author, scholar, teacher, and Tribal Chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and Endowed Chair of Sonoma State University and Dr. Jerlena Griffin-Desta, Chief Diversity Officer from the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Office of the President, as they officially open Native American Heritage Month, highlighting the university's commitment and care for our local Native American community and the academic success of our students.
