I graduated from Sonoma State University last May with a B.A. in English--Secondary Education and minors in Jazz Studies and History. This year, I am splitting my time between Credential Program classes at SSU and student teaching rambunctious but hilarious and awesome 8th graders at Lawrence Jones Middle School. In brief moments of spare time, I enjoy vegging out on some mindless TV, hiking around Sonoma and Marin Counties, reading, writing, and spontaneous pie trips at 3am. I've also gotten heavily into cycling and successfully completed a 338 mile trip down Highway 1 from Rohnert Park to San Luis Obispo this past summer. It is really exciting to be part of the awesome Writing Center staff again this year, as my tutoring shifts are consistently one of the highlights of my week. I try to employ a very laid back style that allows writers to gain confidence in their own ideas and learn processes that will help them throughout their academic career. Developing as a writer is a constant process, often filled with moments of struggle no matter who you are. However, through collaboration and persistence, the wonderful feeling of success WILL come. I am looking forward to working with you this year!
