Market Day is an opportunity for students to showcase what they have developed, whether they are to sell their products, pitch their ideas or network with each other and or community members. With this support to academic learning, students are learning in advance how to pitch their businesses and their career aspirations. Ultimately, students learn a variety of ways to pitch through press releases, face-to-face networking interactions, and their booths. This will enable them to apply their critical thinking and persuasive skills in a practical setting so that they can put this toward their future careers.

Whatever the discipline that a student specializes in, they will work in a market economy. Market Day is designed to help student's see the connection between an economically sustainable pathway that starts at SSU but continues for the rest of their lives. It is also designed to show the community that SSU students are job ready and will benefit the community and businesses within them.

Entreprenoma is an academic co-curricular cross-campus undertaking whose mission is to launch businesses and career pathways that leverage a student’s passion while also, paying the bills. It is designed to be a supportive community for entrepreneurial leadership and learning, guided by a faculty member but run by and for students.
