Lynn Woolsey, Esteemed Congresswoman, Donates her Papers to Sonoma State University Library

Lynn C. Woolsey, retired representative for California's 6th Congressional District, donated her public papers to the Sonoma State University Library. During her tenure in the House of Representatives (1993-2013), Congresswoman Woolsey had a strong pro-education voting record and championed causes related to the environment, women, children, diversity, and peace.

The Lynn Woolsey Congressional papers consist of 97 boxes of legislative papers, including introduced bills, speeches, awards, manuscripts, and visual media documenting her many years of dedicated service to the counties of Sonoma and Marin.

The Special Collections Department of the University Library, with the assistance of a political science student intern, is conducting a comprehensive inventory in order to create an online index to the archive. Researchers will have access to the materials, by appointment, in Spring 2014.
