To help ensure Americans have tests on hand if a need arises, the Biden Administration is purchasing one billion at-home, rapid COVID-19 antigen tests to give to U.S. households.

Visit Covidtests.gov to sign up to receive the free rapid antigen COVID-19 tests. The initial program will allow four free tests to be requested per residential address. The tests and shipping costs are completely free and tests will typically ship within 7-12 days of ordering.

To order the free tests, you will be asked to provide a name and address. Due to heavy traffic on the website, you may experience trouble completing your order. If this happens, try visiting the site again at a later time.

In addition to this new program, there are many local testing sites across the nation, including our on-campus COVID-19 testing center which is open to all Sonoma State University faculty, staff, students, and your family or household members. The testing center is offering expanded testing hours this weekend to support students’ return to campus. The center is open this week and through the end of the month in the Denali Gym and open this weekend, Saturday, January 22, and Sunday, January 23, in the Beaujolais Meeting Room, located in Beaujolais Village. Pre-registration is required, but pre-scheduled appointments will not be accommodated. Please register your account and select “No Appointment” from the drop-down list of testing sites. For questions regarding the clinic, email covid.monitoring@sonoma.edu.
