Policies and Standards
The following policies and standards apply to the whole University but are managed by University Affairs.
This policy provides guidelines for web usage and applies to all administrative websites representing divisions, departments and programs; all campus auxiliaries and affiliates such as centers and institutes, Alumni Relations, clubs and Greek organizations.
Web Standards define the practices, procedures, guidelines and criteria for building, publishing and maintaining SSU websites, and work in conjunction with SSU's Web Policy and Identity Toolkit.
The toolkit was created because one of the physical aspects of an identity is a logo, or the marks that represent us. Placement of those marks, use of SSU's colors and how we refer to ourselves helps define the identity. This toolkit is intended to provide guidance on how best to showcase SSU's visual representation.
The Sonoma State University Style Guide is based upon guidelines of the Associated Press Stylebook, with additional recommendations specific to the SSU campus.
