Vice President's Welcome
You are now a part of our campus community, where you and your educational experience are valued. This experience includes rigorous academic programs and quality out-of-classroom experiences.
We have a strong network of dedicated faculty, administrators, and staff who are committed to supporting you as you progress from your first year of college through graduation. You have done all the right things to get to this point: you've worked hard and made your education a priority. Now that you are here, there are countless opportunities to make connections with others and develop your own sense of belonging.
As you begin your journey here, I ask you to keep in mind the expectations the University and I have of you as Sonoma State students. Every campus community member has a responsibility to maintain the high level of integrity, respect, and excellence that is characteristic of all who live, learn, and teach at this institution.
All of us in Student Affairs want to make your experience a memorable one and hope that you take advantage of all that SSU has to offer.

As a fundamental element of the Student Affairs Co-Curricular experience, leadership development opportunities are designed to complement and strengthen student experiences both formally and informally.
We see leadership development as a foundation of integrative learning, allowing students to develop critical thinking skills, empathy, perspective-taking, and the technological competencies necessary to provide leadership to an ever-changing global society. Our intent is to create lifelong learners who will continue to test, grow, and develop the skills they studied at SSU.
Please check back often for updates on future programs and events.
