Application notification begins on September 30th and is provided on a rolling basis. In order to secure a space with the university, refer to your admission letter for your final deadline to submit your enrollment reservation and mandatory orientation deposit.

Refund Information: If you change your mind about attending Sonoma State University, you must notify the University in writing in order to receive a refund. The Enrollment/Orientation Deposit does not guarantee specific course or program availability and is 50% refundable if requested in writing by December 15, 2014; non-refundable thereafter. To apply for campus housing, make your $400 Housing down payment. Payment date establishes housing priority. Housing down payment does not guarantee a space or specific assignment. OCTOBER - NOVEMBER 6
REGISTER FOR MANDATORY ORIENTATION

Transfer Orientation for Spring 2015 is a mandatory online Orientation program. Transfer online orientation allows you to learn at your own pace while reviewing information about the registration system, planning and searching for your course schedule, and learning about campus resources that are designed to help your transition to Sonoma State University be a smooth process. Transfer Orientation is mandatory and you must sign up for the on-line program no later than November 6, 2014. See Orientation for more information.

OCTOBER 31 - DECEMBER 1
SUBMIT MANDATORY IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
Entering students must send copies of official immunization records to the SSU Office of Admissions and Records showing that they have received the required immunizations as described on-line in a document available by clicking on these words: immunization requirements. All entering students must send proof of having received Measles/Rubella (MMR) vaccine. Those who will be under 19 on January 19th, 2015 must also submit records showing they have been fully immunized against Hepatitis B. Compliance with immunization requirements is mandatory and must be completed no later than December 5, 2014. If you've been immunized, but can't locate official records documenting that you have received the required immunizations, you may submit the results of blood tests showing you are immune to the diseases prevented by these vaccines. Click to download the SSU Immunization Form. Attach the required records to the completed form and send to SSU Office of Admissions and Records as soon as possible. Students who do not comply on time to this Pre-Enrollment Requirement will have a Hold on their ability to register for future classes and are subject to other late compliance penalties.
NOVEMBER 14
ATTEND MANDATORY ORIENTATION
On-line orientation, including advising from your major department, must be completed by this date for you to register for classes on November 17.

JANUARY 1
SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR MANDATORY REGISTRATION CHARGES
You must pay your mandatory registration charges by January 1, 2015. Even if schedule changes are planned, you must complete the registration process by paying the mandatory charges or an automatic disenrollment process will occur.

Note: The Seawolf Service Center will be closed from December 24th - January 1st. Mailed payments received during the holiday closure will be considered "on time". If paying by phone, do so before the closure. The online payment function will be open throughout the holiday closure.

Financial Aid Students: If you have applied for financial aid and have received an offer from our Financial Aid Office by January 1, 2015, in an amount sufficient to cover your semester mandatory registration charges, the payment of your mandatory registration charges will be deferred until your first disbursement for Spring 2015. You will NOT be disenrolled. If you file your FAFSA after November 1, 2014, you must front your Spring mandatory registration charges or your classes will be dropped in January. 
JANUARY 10
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS DUE
Your offer of admission is contingent upon you meeting the specific admissions requirements outlined on your admission letter. Submit official final semester transcripts no later than January 10th. In the event that final documents are not received by January 10th a hold will be placed on your account preventing further registration activity. Request that all your Official Transcripts be mailed to :

JANUARY 15
SCHOLARSHIP MATERIAL DUE
(For Academic Year 2015-2016)
September 15th, 2014 - January 15th, 2015
Scholarships range from $250 to $5,000 per year. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater to apply for this program. Read more @ SSU Scholarship

MOVE-IN WEEKEND

JANUARY 12 - 16
OPEN REG/ADD/DROP

CLASSES BEGIN
You can still register during the add/drop period. Be sure to pay any associated charges no later than January 25th; registration is not complete without final registration payment.
