Application notification begins on September 30 and is provided on a rolling basis. In order to secure a space with the university, refer to your admission letter for your final deadline to submit your enrollment reservation and mandatory orientation deposit.

Refund Information: If you change your mind about attending Sonoma State University, you must notify the University in writing in order to receive a refund. The Enrollment/Orientation Deposit does not guarantee specific course or program availability or orientation session and is 50% refundable if requested in writing by December 15, 2016; non-refundable thereafter. SUBMIT FINANCIAL AID MATERIAL
The application process is free. The first step in applying for financial aid to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Application (Dream App) using SSU's federal school code of 001156. If you are a US citizen or permanent resident, complete the FAFSA on line at FAFSA. Otherwise, complete the Dream App at Dream App. Read more at Financial Aid.
SEPTEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 9
SUBMIT MANDATORY IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
Entering students must send copies of official immunization records to the SSU Office of Admissions and Records showing that they have received the CSU required immunizations as soon as possible and well before December 9, 2016. Details listing required vaccines and how to comply are available online. Required vaccines include but are not limited to two appropriately spaced doses of MMR vaccine and three appropriately spaced doses of Hepatitis B vaccine for students who will be under 19 on January 20, 2017. If you've been immunized, but can't locate official records documenting that you have received the required immunizations, you may submit the results of blood tests showing you are immune to the diseases prevented by these vaccines. Download the SSU Immunization Form, then attach the required records to the completed form and send to SSU Office of Admissions and Records, 1801 E. Cotati Ave., Rohnert Park, CA 94928, as soon as possible. Students who do not comply on time to this Pre-Enrollment Requirement will have a Hold on their ability to register for future classes and are subject to other late compliance penalties.

APPLY FOR HOUSING
To apply for campus housing, go online to create an application. No payment is due at the time the application is submitted. Application date establishes priority for housing assignment and space. Space availability is based on vacancies in the community and cancellations. Read more @ Housing.
OCTOBER - NOVEMBER
REGISTER FOR MANDATORY ORIENTATION

Transfer Orientation for Spring 2017 is mandatory. Transfer Orientation gives you an opportunity to meet with faculty, review information regarding how your credits will transfer, plan your schedule and REGISTER FOR CLASSES. Transfer Orientation is a one-day required program where you will learn about graduation requirements, the registration process and satisfy our University policy that you will be advised before beginning your first semester. On-campus Transfer Orientation will be held Friday, November 4, 2016, and online Transfer Orientation is Thursday, November 10, 2016. You must sign up for the on-campus program no later than October 27, 2016. Deadline to register for online Orientation is November 9, 2016. Please note that it is highly encouraged that you attend the on-campus orientation. If you complete the online orientation, we cannot guarantee that you will receive academic advising prior to registering for spring classes. You will register at the same time as continuing students, with registration times beginning November 14. See Orientation for more information.

TAKE PLACEMENT TEST(S)
We strongly encourage you to take your English Placement Test (EPT) and/or Entry Level Mathematics Test (ELM) as early as possible. There will be three early test administrations on October 15, 2016, November 19, 2016, and December 10, 2016. The deadline to register for each test is one week prior its scheduled date, and sign up is done online. Results are due prior to attending New Student Orientation, unless you are exempt. Your letter of admission explains which test you may be required to take. Go to the SSU Testing site for more information.
OCTOBER 15 - NOVEMBER 15
ACCEPT CAMPUS HOUSING AND PAY HOUSING DOWN PAYMENT
Campus housing offers are sent electronically on a space available basis. In order to accept your offer, you will also need to submit a $400 Housing Down Payment by the designated deadline. Housing Down Payment does not guarantee a specific assignment. Refund policy: 50% refundable if requested in writing by December 15, 2016; non-refundable thereafter. Read more @ Housing

NOVEMBER 14 - DECEMBER 31
REGISTER BY APPOINTMENT
Spring 2017 registration appointment dates & times will be available in November. Watch your SSU email for specific dates and instructions. See Registration Announcements for more information.
JANUARY 1
SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR MANDATORY REGISTRATION CHARGES
You must pay your mandatory registration charges by January 1, 2017. Even if schedule changes are planned, you must complete the registration process by paying the mandatory charges or an automated disenrollment process will occur.

Note: The Seawolf Service Center will be closed from December 23 - January 2. Mailed payments received during the holiday closure will be considered "on time". If paying by phone, do so before the closure. The online payment system will be open throughout the holiday closure.

Financial Aid Students: If you have applied for financial aid and have received an offer from our Financial Aid Office by January 1, 2017, in an amount sufficient to cover your semester mandatory registration charges, the payment of your mandatory registration charges will be deferred until your first disbursement for Spring 2016. You will NOT be disenrolled. If you file your FAFSA after November 1, 2016, you must front your Spring mandatory registration charges or your classes will be dropped in January.
JANUARY 10
SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS
Your offer of admission is contingent upon you meeting the specific admissions requirements outlined on your admission letter. It is mandatory that your official final transcripts and/or test scores are received in the Office of Admissions by January 10, 2017. Failure to submit your final documents by the deadline will void your offer of admission. In the event that final documents are not received by January 10 a hold will be placed on your account preventing further registration activity. SCHOLARSHIP MATERIAL DUE

Scholarships range from $250 to $5,000 per year. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater to apply for this program. Read more @ SSU Scholarships
