Sonoma State Cellars is a university class, but only works with the collaboration and support of many people and partners. The Wine Business Institute and the School of Business and Economics would like to thank the following for supporting this project and helping to make this dream come true. Cheers!
Wine Business Institute Faculty and Alumni Council: It started with Dr. Armand Gilinsky, who first challenged MBA students to complete a feasibility study for the concept. Since then, multiple faculty members have stepped forward to continue the work. The Wine Business Institute Alumni Council has provided industry expertise and hands-on support as each class completes its work.
Kokomo Winery: Eric Miller, owner/winemaker, Randy Peters, grower/partner, and, Josh Bartels, assistant winemaker, and the whole customer service team have worked with us as we shaped the structure that makes Sonoma State Cellars a reality today, offering invaluable lessons and experiences to our students along the way.
Timber Crest Farms: Ruth Waltenspiel, owner of Timbercrest Farms with her husband Walt, has been a passionate advocate for wine business education and the value of a class like the one the students experience today. As a marketing alum of the School of Business and Economics, she’s a testament to the success of our programs and the potential for our students.
