Emily Hostutler

Emily Hostutler

Emily has worked in tutoring, advising and academic mentorial programs for over 12 years. She is an alumn of the English Master's Program at Sonoma State where she focused on literature and creative writing. Emily continues to write creatively and was most recently published in VOLT and the Pomona Valley Review. Emily moved to the area several years ago from Philadelphia bringing her East Coast pride and edge. She lives with her husband, her two busy sons, and a little brown dachsie named Stubbs. In addition to being a writer, Emily has also been known to pose as an installation and projection artist, filmmaker, collage and ephemera junkie and even once as a glass sculptress. Her love and devotion to the mission of TRIO Programs, such as the McNair Program, led her to her current position as Research Coordinator, which she couldn’t be happier about.
