The lab is available to members of the campus community who are working on video, audio, or computer-based multimedia productions. Digital editing orientations using the iMovie application can be scheduled for faculty, staff and students. The Digital Media Lab also has resources to process and export edited video material as QuickTime or other formats for serving over the web. All services are by appointment. Additionally, when scheduling permits, lab staff are available to videotape class activities, special academic events and guest lecturers.
Typical Digital Media Lab Services
- Non-linear video editing utilizing iMovie or Final Cut Pro
- QuickTime, PowerPoint or other multimedia applications using workstations in the New Media Lab (Schulz 1015).
- Recording and mixing audio from CDs, LPs, audio cassettes or live narration.
- Videotape and audiotape duplication service for faculty & staff.
- Tape-to-tape, cuts-only VHS and U-matic editing.
- Consultation and advice on media production planning, techniques and methods.
