Pharmacy Benefit Manager Transition

Effective January 1, 2017, OptumRx® will transition from CVS Caremark as the new Pharmacy Benefits Manager. This will affect all health plan providers, however, Blue Shield Access + (see update below) and Kaiser Permanente health plans are not affected by this change. For more information, please review the FAQs about transitioning to OptumRx.®

Blue Shield of California's Pharmacy Benefit Manager Transition

Blue Shield of California has signed an agreement with CVS Caremark to manage its retail pharmacy network effective January 1, 2017. Blue Shield will notify employees in October/November 2016 of the change. For more information, please visit the Blue Shield microsite.

Address for 2016 W2 Mailing

Please refer to your October 2016 pay warrant for the current address on file that the State Controller's Office has for form W2 mailing this year. If you need to make changes to your mailing address, please be sure to do so by December 16th.

January Empathia Webinar - Vision Boards: Creating the Life You Want

On Thursday, January 26, 2017, employees may access this month's webinar from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. OR 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. which will discuss steps for creating a visual display of goals, dreams and desired accomplishments. Diabetes Prevention Program

Beginning January 1, 2017, all CalPERS health plans will offer a diabetes prevention program (DPP) at no cost to eligible members. Employees should contact their CalPERS health plan provider to participate in this program.

CalPERS will host a 30 minute Member Self-Service - my|CalPERS webinar January 25, at 11:00 a.m. Upon completion of this webinar, you will know how to access your my|CalPERS account along with the valuable information tools and resources available to you.
