Project Overview

What is the Common Management Systems (CMS) project?

CMS is a CSU-mandated initiative that seeks to replace legacy administrative software initially in Human Resource Management and Financial Accounting and Student Administration on each of the 23 campuses. What are the goals of CMS?

By 2008, the CSU campuses will:

  • Perform administrative functions with a common set of administrative best practices.
  • Support administrative functions with a shared common integrated application software.
  • Support the administrative software in shared service centers.

What software package has been chosen for CMS?

The CSU chose PeopleSoft as the administrative software package for the CSU.
