Multicultural Greek Council

Congratulations on your decision to learn more about joining a Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) fraternity or sorority at Sonoma State University! The MGC consists of fraternities and sororities that seek to promote the general welfare and support the diversity of all students, of the Greek community, and the larger SSU/Rohnert Park community. The MGC Executive Board at SSU is the governing body of the MGC, and consists of Executive Board officers, along with delegates from the member organizations. Regular meetings of the Multicultural Greek Council are held every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., in the Alexander Valley Room of the Student Center.

Each year, MGC helps promote the individual recruitment events for all MGC chapters in the fall and spring. Each fraternity and sorority conducts their own recruitment/intake events separately, and the locations/times vary by organization. In addition, each chapter has different requirements for joining, so be sure to meet them all and learn a bit about each one.

Please be sure to visit the Multicultural Greek Council chapters during Summer Orientation and Big Nite for more information about their recruitment process.
