Turn Up The Beat: Canceled
Due to low ticket sales, the CATS Benefit Concert scheduled for October 1st has been canceled.
We hope to try again in the near future to rally our Sonoma County community in support of the CATS Program, which has helped so many famlies with children on the Autism spectrum, as well as those who work with them.
We apologize for the inconvenience to those of you who made plans to attend the concert. If you already purchased tickets online, you will be contacted regarding a refund. Thanks for your interest and support.
More About the CATS Program
Parents of children on the Autism Spectrum are often overwhelmed as
they navigate a maze of therapeutic and educational hurdles;
in addition to educating themselves and seeking the best treatment
for their children, they have a strong need for respite and
trained care providers.
We designed this Collaborative Autism Training & Support
program to provide free services for children and families,
training for those who assist them, and autism awareness-raising. A grant from the California Department of Developmental Services
for a collaboration between Sonoma State University (SSU)
and the North Bay Regional Center launched the CATS Program,
which is now supported by our generous ever-expanding community
of caring agencies and individuals.
Our Family Support program offers free direct services
plus other resources and support.
Fall and Spring Autism classes at SSU engage students and
prepare them to work with children with autism spectrum disorders
through classes and practical experience with local families.
In Fall and Spring we offer an Autism Seminar Series,
which is open to students, professionals, and the public.
These seminars are presented by leaders in the autism community
and are currently hosted at Ives Hall, Room 34, at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park. View Fall 2011 »
