GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OVERVIEW

Each baccalaureate candidate must complete a University-approved University-wide Option or the Hutchins Interdisciplinary Option.

The University-Wide Option requires courses distributed among the following categories:

A. Communication and Critical Thinking

B. Natural Sciences and Mathematics

C. Arts and Humanities

D. Social Sciences

E. Integrated Person

Within these categories, one course in Ethnic Studies GE course is required. Nine (9) units of General Education must be in upper-division (300- and 400-level) courses and shall be taken no sooner than the term in which upper-division standing (completion of 60 semester units) is attained.
