Letter of Acceptance

Once you are admitted to Sonoma State University you will receive a congratulatory letter of acceptance and an assigned SSU student identification number.

FIRST: Your letter of acceptance will instruct you to access the online Stay-On-Track timeline and Instructions.

This is your comprehensive step-by-step guide to complete your enrollment with SSU. This guide has important information about your attendance and housing plans. You will be asked to read, fill out, print and send back needed forms by the required due dates. In the Admissions Guidebook you will find information about the Enrollment Reservation Deposit (ERD) and how to secure your deposit by the due date.

SECOND: Fulfilling your admissions criteria

Because you were admitted to SSU based on self-reported information, your offer of admission is contingent upon official verification of that information, and your Letter of Acceptance will inform you how and when you must meet those conditions.

THIRD: Testing Information (Freshmen)

Your Letter of Acceptance will inform you if you are required to take placement or other tests.

FOURTH: Orientations

Orientation is mandatory; visit our Orientation site for full information.

Finally, your Letter of Acceptance informs you if you are awarded Honors at Entrance (first time freshmen,) of your residency status, and your chosen major on record.
