Sonoma Film Institute

The Sonoma Film Institute at SSU is the oldest film repertory organization in the North Bay. Since 1973, SFI has unspooled enough celluloid to reach the next galaxy. Each year, SFI presents more than 30 films. These screenings, ranging from silent cinema to the avant-garde, from contemporary American fare to films from the Third World, expand the educational opportunities to students, as well as providing cultural benefit to the campus and surrounding community.

Seawolves Take NCAA Division II West Region Title

The Sonoma State volleyball team earned a four-set victory over Dixie State Saturday night in Nampa, Idaho to capture the 2014 NCAA Division II West Region title for the first time in program history.  The Seawolves (23-6) Louisville, Kentucky for the NCAA Elite Eight to play Central Region champion Southwest Minnesota State (24-9) in the national quarterfinal on Dec. 4.
